The Wonder Fish

Flo moved all his fishies into their big new home on Friday. That would be two platys, one molly, four five-stripe barbs and one LDA. (Why is their name a string of initials? I have no idea…) He also bought two more LDAs and four siamensis. Now, let me paint a picture for you of what the tank looked like before the fish were put in:

Now, Flo bought the siamensis (or sitting mooses, as I like to call them), because the man in the fish store said they’re good for controlling algae. Here’s what one looks like:

And here’s what they managed to do to the tank within three days:

Cool, huh?! Now we’re just hoping that the sunlight produces enough algae and our other fish poop enough to feed these little suckers, else we’re going to have to start overfeeding. The funny thing is, they’re community fish, so all four of them are usually together and they’re a little hyperactive. If anyone has seen Over the Hedge and you think of Hammy when he drinks the caffeine drink, then you’ll know what these fish look like as they swim around. They’re great!
