What the heck? you’re asking. These are some of the babies listed in the local newspaper as having been born in the last two months. It’s one of my favorite things to look at all the names in the papers. They’re very diverse, don’t you think?

One of the church services we went to, they were dedicating all the kids that were new born or new to the church. This poor African couple went up there with their adorable, fuzzy-headed baby and the pastor asked the baby’s name. They told him and he asked the baby’s name, so they repeated themselves. It was then he knew he’d made a mistake and just said, OK. I guess this is normal in a big city in America as well, but we don’t live in a big city here in Germany and so finding all these exotic names is fascinating for me.

However, I still stick with Hokko.
